Give yourself, your loved ones and your home complete protection from unexpected events that may cause unnecessary financial and emotional devastation. From protection for your renovated items, household contents to personal liability and alternative accommodation expenses, Enhanced AA HomePlan has you well covered.

Enhanced AA HomePlan is underwritten by American Home Assurance Co, AIG

Enhanced AA HomePlan covers:

  • Up to S$350,000 for Building (including renovated items) and S$40,000 for Household Contents against unexpected events*.

  • Up to S$6,000 for Alternative Accommodation Expenses if the insured premises is made temporarily uninhabitable by one of the insured events.

  • S$30,000 each for Insured and Spouse (below 66 years old) for Accidental Death that happens at home.

  • Up to S$500,000 Worldwide Personal Liability for Insured and his/her immediate family for any accidental bodily injury or property damage to third party which they are legally liable.

* Insured perils: Fire; lightning; domestic explosion; theft by violent and forcible entry; resultant damage caused by bursting or overflowing of domestic water tanks, apparatus or pipes at home; windstorm including flood; malicious damage; accidental breakage to fixed glass; vehicle and aircraft impact damage.

ENHANCED HOME PLAN: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  1. Who can enrol for Enhanced AA HomePlan?
    All AA members who own a home in Singapore.

  2. When will my policy be effective?
    Your policy will be effective on the date of your application form with payment provided there is no adverse information like claim experience. The Multi-Appliances Extended Warranty benefit will have a waiting period of 30 days from the original date of inception.

  3. What is meant by Household Contents?
    Household Contents include your renovated items, fixtures & fittings installed by you, household furniture & furnishings, domestic appliances, audio equipment, computer equipment, photographic equipment, clothings, blankets and linen, sports and musical instruments, personal valuables and personal belongings.

  4. Are there any excess/deductible?
    There is an excess of S$200 for loss or damage due to hurricane, cyclone, typhoon or windstorm, flood, volcanic eruption, earthquake and resultant damage caused by burst water pipes within the home. For theft, there is an excess of S$100 for each and every claim.

  5. What are the main excluded items?
    Under Household Contents, it does not cover financial instruments such as deeds, bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes, cheques, securities for money, stamps, documents of any kind, cash, currency notes, bank notes, manuscripts, medals and coins, motor vehicles and accessories or livestock, computer systems records, business books, books of account and contents left in the open. For Multi-Appliances Extended Warranty, it does not cover if the appliances are still covered by the manufacturer's warranty or any other warranty.

  6. Is the insurance transferable when I moved to another location in Singapore?
    Yes, just inform us in writing and we will amend the location in the policy schedule.
